PRIVACY NOTICE FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

This Privacy Notice for California Residents serves as an extension of the general Privacy Statement for Opinion Matters ("we," "us," or "our") and pertains exclusively to individuals residing in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). We have prepared this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") and other relevant California privacy laws. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same significance when used in this notice.
Information We Collect
We gather information that can identify, relate to, describe, be linked to, or reasonably associate with a specific consumer or device ("personal information"). Over the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers:

Personal information does not encompass:
•   Publicly available information from government records.
•   De-identified or aggregated consumer information.
•   Information excluded from the CCPA's scope, such as health or medical information covered
by HIPAA or other sector-specific privacy laws.

We source the categories of personal information detailed above from the following origins:
 
•   Directly from you, such as when you sign up, participate in profiler surveys, or verify your
account.
•   Directly and indirectly from your usage of our Services or website, including usage details collected automatically during your interactions.

Use of Personal Information
We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for various business purposes, including
but not limited to:
•   Fulfilling the reason for which the information was provided, such as providing access to the site and opportunities to earn points.
•   Sending you email alerts, event registrations, and other notices about our products, services, events, or news that may interest you.
•   Tailoring opportunities to be more relevant to you.
•   Conducting testing, research, analysis, and product development.
•   Providing information, products, or services requested by you.
•   Safeguarding the rights, property, or safety of us, our clients, or others.

We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use collected personal information for significantly different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without notifying you.
Sharing Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to third parties for business purposes. When we share personal information for business purposes, we enter into contracts that require recipients to keep the information confidential and use it solely for the contracted purpose. In the last twelve (12) months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes:
•   Category A: Identifiers.
•   Category B: California Customer Records personal information categories.
•   Category C: Protected classification characteristics under California or federal law.
•   Category D: Commercial information.
•   Category I: Professional or employment-related information.

We disclose personal information for business purposes to the following types of third parties:
•   Identifying client survey opportunities.
•   Measuring user activity to enhance our services and offerings.
 
We do not share your name, email address, or phone number with third parties. In the past twelve
(12) months, we have not sold any personal information.
Your Rights and Choices
The CCPA grants consumers (California residents) specific rights regarding their personal information. This section outlines your CCPA rights and how to exercise them.
Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection and use of your personal information over the past twelve (12) months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:
•   The categories of personal information we collected about you.
•   The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.
•   Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.
•   The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
•   The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (data portability request).
•   If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:
•   Sales, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient
purchased.
•   Disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained.

Deletion Request Rights
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected and retained, subject to certain exceptions. After we receive and verify your verifiable consumer request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:
•   Complete a transaction for which we collected the personal information.
•   Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
•   Debug products to identify and repair errors.
•   Exercise free speech or comply with legal obligations.
•   Engage in scientific, historical, or statistical research.
•   Comply with a legal obligation.
•   Make other internal and lawful uses of that information.

Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights
To exercise these rights, submit a verifiable consumer request to us via:

Only you or an authorized representative (registered with the California Secretary of State) may make a verifiable consumer request. You may also act on behalf of your minor child. You can make these
 
requests for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. Your verifiable consumer request should:
•   Provide enough information for us to reasonably verify your identity or authority.
•   Describe your request with sufficient detail for us to understand, evaluate, and respond.

We will not create an account for you to make a verifiable consumer request. We will use the provided personal information only to verify your identity or authority.


Response Timing and Format
We aim to respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. If more time is needed (up to 90 days), we will notify you of the reason and extension in writing. The response will cover only the 12-month period before the request's receipt. We will also explain reasons for non-compliance, if applicable.
For data portability requests, we will choose a format that allows you to transmit your personal information to another entity. We do not charge fees unless requests are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If a fee is warranted, we will explain why and provide an estimate before processing your request.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights. We will not:
•   Deny goods or services.
•   Charge different prices or rates.
•   Provide different levels or quality of goods or services.
•   Suggest you might receive different terms.

Changes to Our Privacy Notice
We retain the right to revise this privacy notice at our discretion and at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website homepage.
